Point. Flick. Done.
Press a shortcut and a ring of your favourite apps and actions pops up exactly where your cursor is. No trips to the Dock, no digging through menus.
Try it
The media ring
This is the real thing. Play it, then:
- Point at the record: the time, and − / + to jump 10 seconds.
- Point at the ring around it: where you’d land, and how far. Drag along it to seek.
- Scroll for volume. Flick sideways and lift your fingers to skip; slide back before you lift to change your mind.
- Tap with two fingers (or right-click) to play or pause, and watch the record spin up and wind down.
- Under the ring: what the progress does while it plays, and the Needle glow.
- Next is a video with chapters, then a live stream: pause it and LIVE turns grey; click it to go back to live.
- Sound on: the music is a little lo-fi, made right in your browser.
Free. Forever. No catch.
I made FlickFlick because I wanted it myself, and I'd love for you to have it too. No trial, no account, no ads, no "Pro" plan hiding the good stuff. Everything on this page is yours, and it keeps itself up to date.

The IslandNEW
What's playing lives at the top of your screen, around the notch, with the lyrics as they're sung. Hold the top edge to open it: shortcuts and a shelf for files are a tab away.
Picture in Picture, for any videoNEW
Draw a box round any video and it moves into a small window that stays on top. Drag it to a corner, or tuck it away at the side.
Roll the diceNEW
Need a random answer? Type roll, dice or flip coin in search and press Enter. Enter again rolls again.
Just start typing
Type on the ring and it turns into search: apps, actions, snippets, your files, things you copied, and the web one Tab away. ⌘K pins a favourite or gives it a nickname.
Maths and money, instantly
Type a sum, or an amount like 8.5 usd, and the answer is already there in your own currency. Enter pastes it.
shrugdatetyType less
Short keywords grow into full text in any app. Try shrug, date or ty in the box.
Pick one to paste it
Never lose a copy
The last 300 things you copied, screenshots too. Pick one to paste it again. Passwords are never kept.

Music, without switching apps
Album art spins on a little record that winds down when you pause. Scroll for volume, flick to skip, − / + to jump, drag the arc to go anywhere. Live streams too.

Convert files in one go
Select files in Finder and turn them into PNG, WEBP, PDF, MP4, GIF or MP3. Pick a few formats at once.
Screenshots, marked up
Grab an area, add arrows, ovals and speech bubbles, blur or black out anything private, then copy or save.
Confetti for every season
Press ⌘ twice and it's a party. Bats and ghosts at Halloween, ketupat at Lebaran, hearts on Valentine's, balloons on your birthday.
Make it yours
Your own rings, icons, shortcuts and sub-slices (hold ⌘ for more). Any accent colour stays readable, light or dark. Try one on this page:
Private by design: everything stays on your computer. The only thing it ever fetches is today's exchange rate, and only after you type an amount.
Set up in a minute
- 1
Download
Grab the file for your computer. Not sure which Mac you have? Apple menu → About This Mac. "Apple M…" means Apple Silicon.
- 2
Install
Mac: drag FlickFlick into Applications. Windows: open the installer and follow along.
- 3
Flick!
A quick tour sets your shortcut and permissions. Then press it anywhere. Updates install themselves.
Mac says it can't check the app, or Windows shows a warning?
That's expected. FlickFlick is made by one person and isn't notarised by Apple or signed for Windows yet, so your computer asks once. On a Mac: System Settings → Privacy & Security, scroll down and click Open Anyway (on older macOS, right-click the app → Open). On Windows: More info → Run anyway. Want to double-check the files? Compare them with SHA256SUMS.txt on the release page.
Needs macOS 12 or newer (Apple Silicon or Intel), or Windows 10/11 (64-bit).

Enjoying FlickFlick?
It's free either way. If it saves you a few minutes a day, a small tip keeps me building and polishing it. Thank you, truly.
